"Making Music Work" at the Barrington Music Resource Center With Chris Steinmetz

Barrington Park District Launches Exciting Music Resource Center Course: “Making Music Work.” This program consists of classes in music production and music business.
Barrington, IL – The Barrington Park District is proud to announce the launch of its latest course, the Music Resource Center, Making Music Work. This innovative program is designed for ages 12 and up, any skill level and offers classes in both music production and music business. Residents from all local communities are welcome!
The Music Resource Center is a unique opportunity for music lovers of all levels to learn from industry veteran Record Producer / Engineer Chris Steinmetz. With over 25 years of experience in the music industry, Steinmetz is a master at music production and has worked with some of the biggest names in the business. Chris has worked with artists including Miles Davis, Metallica, Kanye West, Paul Simon, Kiss, Rihanna and more. He is also the owner of Stonecutter Records Recording Studios.
Chris Steinmetz has over 25 years of experience in the recording industry.
The Barrington Music Resource Center provides students with valuable information about the music business.
Participants in the Music Resource Center will learn the ins and outs of music production, from recording and editing to mixing and mastering. They will also have the opportunity to explore the music business side of the industry, including marketing, promotion, and distribution strategies.
“I grew up in Barrington and am thrilled to offer this exciting new program to our community,” said Steinmetz. “Whether you’re an aspiring musician, producer, entrepreneur or just looking to learn something new, the Music Resource Center has something for everyone.”
The Music Resource Center will run from September 17th to October 22 for the fall programs and November 12th to December 17th for Winter. The classes will be held at the Barrington Park District. Registration is now open, and spaces are limited, so interested participants are encouraged to sign up early.
